How Do You Unclog A Washer Drain?
All of the water that is spun and drained out of your washing machine enters the sewage system through a drain hose. This drain hose can be as short as a few inches or as long as a couple of feet. Before working to unclog a drain hose, it is important to make sure that the hose is actually the problem. Make sure that you do not have clogs in the sewage system first by checking the other drains in the home, including the kitchen and toilet. Grasp the pliers by the handle and place them over the metallic cylinder that connects the hose to the washer in the rear. This is normally found on the lower right-hand side of the washer, and is quite hard to miss due to it being one of only three hoses attached to the washing machine. Turn the pliers while they are on the hose in a counter-clockwise direction to loosen the grip. Remove the hose from the washer by simply pulling it straight out and away from the washer.
