How Do You Unclog The Refrigerators Water Dispenser Line?

0

The dispenser through-the-door water dispenser in a refrigeratorcan can become clogged, usually with ice, and will need to be thawed. The first step is to do some troubleshooting to find out where the system has broken down. Knowing where the water is being blocked will help when solving the problem. Unscrew the water line at the bottom of the refrigerator door by hand. Press the dispenser’s lever and see if water comes out of the disconnected line at the bottom of the door. If it does, the line is probably frozen somewhere in the door. If water does not come out the disconnected line, the blockage is somewhere else in the system. Open the refrigerator door and repeatedly press the dispenser lever if it was determined from the previous step that the line was frozen in the door. Keep pressing the lever until water runs out of the dispenser. Unplug the refrigerator for an hour or two if it was determined that the blockage was not in the door. This will allow time for the blockage to thaw
