How Do You Uninstall Mcafee & Install Avast?
Software companies McAfee and Avast both produce anti-virus software products. If you have McAfee installed and would prefer to use Avast, you can uninstall McAfee from your system. To remove McAfee completely, McAfee recommends that you download and run their removal tool. Once the tool has deleted all traces of the software, other anti-virus programs such as Avast will run more smoothly on your system. Click the “Start” button on the computer’s desktop. Select “Search” and type “Programs and Features” into the search field. Press “Go.” Double-click “Programs and Features” from the results. Select McAfee Security Suite and select “Uninstall.” Follow the uninstallation prompts. Download the McAfee Removal Tool from the McAfee site (see Resources).
