How Do You Uninstall Veritas Backup Exec?
Symantec acquired Veritas Backup Exec in 2005, but the basic function of the program remains the same: The program continuously backs up files and folders and stores them in a safe, central location. Uninstalling the desktop version of this program can be a bit of a hassle. Sometimes it does not uninstall all the way. In that case, you must take an extra step to ensure its removal. Although these are directions for Windows 7, the same basic principle applies to previous operating systems. Click the “Start” button in the bottom-left corner of your screen. A menu will pop up. Click “Control Panel” on the right side of this panel. Click the “Programs” icon if the Control Panel is in category view, and then click “Programs and Features.” If the Control Panel is in list view, you can click “Programs and Features” directly from the list.
