How Do You Unlock A Sanyo Katana Cell Phone?

Sanyo Katana cell phones were designed with a locking feature that prevents the user from making outgoing calls and, if using the stronger lock setting, blocks the user from answering incoming calls. When the lock is enabled, the only outgoing calls you can make are emergency calls to 911. In order to make outgoing calls and, if set, answer incoming calls, you need to unlock your phone. Press the left soft key on the phone keypad under the word "Unlock" on the display. A window will pop up on the display prompting you for a password. Enter the phone lock code using the phone keypad. The lock code is available from your service provider. Press the "OK" button to finish unlocking the phone. The normal calling features are available for use once the phone is unlocked.  more
