Anyone who has ever been involved in the Jewish community can probably tell you how to play the dreidel game. Spin the little wooden top around, and when it lands on a symbol, you either collect from the pot (often composed of fake coins or small pieces of candy) or add to the kitty. The dreidel has come a long way from that simple wooden block; newer dreidels spin on their own and light up. One of the more modern interpretations of the old game is the dueling dreidel, with which children can play a new version of the traditional game. Give each dueler an equal amount of supplies for the kitty, if you are going to keep the tradition of playing to win small treats. The kitty can be composed of small candies like gummy bears or fake coins. If you are playing with a kitty, each competitor should put an equal amount of treat into the kitty to start with.
