How Do You Use A French Press To Make Fantastic Cup Of Coffee?
For a coffee enthusiast, what is better than a steaming, dark cup of coffee? I didn’t believe that I could get a fantastic cup of coffee from a French Press but I can. I’m a convert. Making great coffee in a French press isn’t hard and doesn’t have to be expensive. I have two French presses – one cost me around $7 and one cost me around $30. They make identical coffee. Start by always pre-heating your French press (and coffee mug!) by filling with the hottest water you can find – boiling water is perfect and will not hurt the device as it’s designed to hold HOT water. Let the French press sit with the hot water for 2 minutes or so and then pour out. Remove the top of the French press and the filter assembly so you can add 1 tablespoon of coarsely ground coffee to the bottom of the French press, per 4 ounces of coffee. I like really really strong coffee so I put around 3 tablespoons of coffee in the bottom of the French press, per 6 ounces of water. Depending on the type of night I’ve h
