You are away from your computer and you need to make a note or write a short document. Expand the functionality of your graphing calculator by using it as a text editor as well. All it requires is the download of a text editing program to the graphing calculator, and following these simple instructions. Download a text-editing program to a home computer (see Resources) and transfer it to the graphing calculator. Access the text editing program on the graphing calculator, once it’s installed. Go to the text editor menu on the graphing calculator and press the “F10” key to bring up the main menu. Press the down arrow key to your choice of text editor functions and hit “Enter.” You can create a new file, edit a file that has already been created and perform other functions.
