Tired of straightening your hair with an iron every day? Using a hair relaxer may be the answer. A hair relaxer can keep your hair straight for six weeks, or more. Fortunately, you don’t need an expensive stylist to relax your hair. There are now hair relaxer kits that are sold for home use. Pour the hair relaxer into a container and mix it well. Make sure there are no lumps in the mixture. Wrap a towel around your shoulders to protect your clothing. Prepare a wet towel to wipe any relaxer off of your skin, if necessary. Isolate a small section of hair near the base of your neck. Clip the rest of hair out of the way. Apply a generous amount of hair relaxer to the isolated section, near the scalp. Use the back of a wide-toothed comb to spread the relaxer down towards the tips. Wait seven minutes to allow the relaxer to work. Smooth out your hair, making sure that it is completely straight.
