How Do You Use A Rooting Hormone?

0

A growing hormone can help you get the most from your plants and your garden; you can use a root compound to expand your garden without spending any extra cash. Follow these steps to properly use a rooting hormone and be well on your way to a true “green thumb”. Grab your plant cutting. It needs to be between 2 and 9 inches in length. Wet the end of your plant cutting, if the rooting hormone that you are using is a powder. The wet plant cutting end will help the rooting hormone stick to the plant stem. When wetting the plant cutting (or dipping it in a liquid rooting hormone), get at least 1.5 inches of the bottom of the plant moistened. Dip the plant cutting into the rooting compound. Gently tap the plant cutting on the side of the rooting hormone container so that all extra powder falls back into the jar. Place your plant cutting into a pre-made hole, roughly 1.5-2.5 inches deep, depending on the size of the cutting. You want the plant to be stable. Be careful not to knock off too mu
