This valve is simple to use and only needs a few steps to ensure that it is working properly. Check the hair and lint basket daily to ensure that your check valve doesn’t back up. If the basket is full, water cannot freely pass through, which means that water is not entering your check valve. Pull the basket out and throw away any hair or lint that is caught in it. Inspect your check valve to see that it is moving freely. Most modern check valves are constructed from clear plastic so that you can watch the valve opening and closing.
