Although workers on Amazon Mechanical Turk can reside anywhere in the world, requesters must be in the United States in order to set up an account and submit a job request. However, there is a U.S. company called HIT Builder that allows non-U.S. requesters to use their account to request HITs on Mechanical Turk. It can also be used by U.S. requesters who prefer not to use their own accounts. HitBuilder was designed to simplify the process of submitting AMT requests, but by allowing non-U.S. Requesters to submit requests using their account, they have opened up the Amazon Mechanical Turk requester pool to the world.
