Containing ample amounts of beta carotene and Vitamin A, carrot oil is a natural and effective ingredient in many commercially prepared skin products. It can help to maintain firm, youthful skin and give it radiance and shine. Combined with a carrier oil and several other ingredients for texture and fragrance, carrot oil makes an excellent homemade eye cream. Use it under your eyes at night for firmer, radiant skin. Choose a carrier oil to dilute your essential carrot oil. Choose from common carriers such as aloe gel, almond, apricot, sunflower, sesame or jojoba oil. Select one or a mixture of several. Combine your carrier oil and beeswax together in a small saucepan. Gently heat and melt the mixture over the stove. Mix the melted ingredients thoroughly with a wooden spoon. Heat the rosewater and borax in a separate saucepan. Mix together until the borax has dissolved.
