How Do You Use GPS Vehicle Tracking Systems?
A GPS vehicle tracking system is an Internet software program that allows companies to track their company vehicles 24 hours a day. It provides up-to-the-minute reports about where the vehicles are, whether they’re moving or stationary and how fast they’re going. Some devices even track the driver’s performance and behavior, how long the driver spends at a job site and whether or not the driver is using a company vehicle for personal errands on or off the job. To track vehicles or fleets of vehicles with a GPS vehicle tracking device, open the tracking software on your computer. Click on the tab that reads “find.” Click on one or more of the vehicles located in the window. Track one vehicle at a time or all of the vehicles for your company. Click on the “satellite” tab to view the vehicle from a satellite perspective. Click “map view” to view a map of the street where the vehicle is traveling or parked.
