How Do You Use Headphones On Xbox Live?
• Use quality headphones that boast 5.1 Dolby. If you don’t have such headphones, use whatever you do have, realizing that the quality level will be reduced. • Plug the aftermarket headphones to your television set. Preferably a newer TV or one that has digital output on the set. • Connect the microphone to your controller and put the aftermarket headphones on. • Put the microphone headset on the outside of the aftermarket headphones. Yes this is kind of ghetto but if your strapped for cash then this will work. • Rig the microphone headset to your liking. Go to the Xbox Live settings and set to have the output for headset switched to “Through TV only” and not on headset or headset and TV. this way you will hear the chat through your aftermarket headphones and when you talk, it will go through the headset plugged into your controller.
