How Do You Use Miralax For Feline Constipation?

0

Miralax helps relieve constipation. It is an odorless powder that is mixed with water. People use it, but it can be given to your feline as well. If your cat happens to be suffering from constipation then giving some miralax can help your cat start up a steady bowl movement. Miralax draws water towards the colon to allow more fluid in the bowel area and relieve the stress of deficating. It can be bought in drugstores or supermarkets. Take your cat to the veterinarian. Check with the vet to make sure that giving Miralax wouldn’t affect your pets health. Mix 1/8 teaspoon of Miralax with a cup of water. Use a syringe and very slowly inject the mix into the cat’s mouth or leave the mix in a bowl. If you leave it out, make sure that the feline drinks all of it before eating. Add another 1/4 teaspoon. If constipation continues longer than two days, then increase the dosage. Give Miralax between meals. Give the mix of the water and Miralax after the morning meal or right before the afternoon
