By using simple items around the house like rope, pillowcases and an ordinary headband, you can put together a convincing costume. A few accessories, like strapped sandals and a shepherd’s crook will complete the look. Choose a color for the body of the costume, such as solid blue or brown, and buy a king-size pillowcase in that color. Buy a long-sleeved t-shirt in the same color. Hold up the pillowcase next to the child who will be wearing it. Measure where the neck should be and the arm holes. Mark the areas with colored chalk.
