How Do You Use Reed Oil Diffuser?
Reed oil diffusers are often used in place of candles or potpourri, and they work just as well. Thin rattan reeds are inserted in aromatic essential or fragrance oils in jars or bottles. The reeds soak up the oil and emit fragrance into the room. The benefits of reed oil diffusers are that they offer less mess, no smoke and last a long time. Place a glass jar or bottle on a flat surface. Make sure the glass jar or bottle has a narrow neck opening. This will ensure that the rattan reeds inserted in the bottle will stay in position. Fill the bottle about halfway with a carrier oil, such as sweet almond oil. Add enough fragrance or essential oil to fill the bottle three fourths of the way. Cap the bottle and shake to mix the oils together. Insert about six to 10 thin rattan diffuser reeds into the bottle. Fan the reeds out so that they are not straight up and down in the bottle.
