Canon has been making the Rebel line of SLR cameras since the film days. Their latest Rebel, the T1i, offers refinements to their D-SLR line, including a 15 megapixel CMOS sensor and the ability to shoot high-definition video. The T1i also users a different battery than older Rebels, the LC-E5. Connect the neck strap to the camera body. Mount the lens on the camera by lining up the red dots on the camera body and lens, inserting the lens and twisting it to secure it. Insert a fully charged LC-E5 battery in the battery compartment at the bottom of the camera. Insert an SD memory card in the memory card slot on the right side of the camera body. Turn on the camera and verify the battery is charged by looking at the battery meter on the LCD screen.
