A 24 volt transformer, usually called an HVAC transformer, changes standard wall-socket 120 volts to 24 volts for use in households in a heating and air conditioning system. The transformer has four connections for most applications. You will need to know where on your HVAC to connect the 24 volts, so you may need a diagram or the owner’s manual.
