The location of the lamppost can be near your driveway or door. These steps assume you have already set the lamppost into the ground. Since this is a photocell lamppost, you don’t need to install a switch. This type of lamp has a photocell that will turn it off during the day and on during the night. Turn off the electricity at the main breaker box. Dig a trench, and lay your conduit pipe into the trench. Push the electrical wire through the house end of the conduit to the lamppost.
