Best of all, there are literally dozens of types to choose from. Most fixtures of this type are sold in kit form and are quite easy to wire up and install. The entire job should only take a few minutes. Disconnect the power to the ceiling box at the circuit breaker/fuse box or turn it off at the wall switch. Thread the lamp cord through the opening in the screw collar loop. Secure the loop to the ceiling canopy with the lock washer and lock nut. The canopy may be included with your fixture or can be purchased separately. Remove the insulation from the ends of the white and black wires using the utility knife.
