How do you work out the median,mean and range in maths?

Mean is the same as average – add all the data and divide by the number of data entries you added eg 3+5+2+6+4=20divided by 5=4 is the mean. Median is the middle number of a series eg. 1 3 7 12 21 and 7 would be the median. Range is the difference between the smallest and greatest numbers eg. 34 42 48 56 therefore 56-34=22 isthe range.
