How Do You Write An MLA Annotated Bibliography?
Annotated bibliographies include more information than standard bibliographies. An annotated bibliography summarizes and/or evaluates each reference to which the annotation applies. Modern Language Association (MLA) annotated bibliographies include MLA bibliography entry formats with added summaries and/or evaluations and reflections. List each source according to MLA bibliography style guidelines. Types of sources include, but are not limited to, books, magazine and journal articles and online documents. Provide a summary for each bibliographic entry. Summaries include, but are not limited to, main arguments, point of the cited reference and reference topics, according to the Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL). Add an assessment and/or reflection of the cited work to each summary.
