the drug industry makes billions every year… So they can afford to give away nice stuff like pens, notepads, samples of meds, t shirts, umbrellas, hats, ect… The way this works has more to do with Business strategies, and not so much to do with Healthcare.. Drug Industries are corporations just like COKE, PEPSI, Toyota, FORD, Verizon, AT&T, and many more… 1. Their goal is to make profit. 2. To make profit they must sell their goods or services. 3. The consumer market world is filled with competition. 4. To make a profit, they must stand out from their competitors. 5. To stand out… they must make themselves known and be memorable. 6. To be memorable… they use certain strategies like “branding” and “slogans”. 7. Branding is when a company uses a catchy sounding Product name everywhere and on everything, so it will be grilled into the consumer’s mind. You’ve seen this done, but you may not realize it. Pick a famous brand that you like… you won’t have to look very hard to find
