How does a fluorescent lamp differ from a halogen lamp?

0

Halogen lamps are entirely different from fluorescent in that they produce light by heating a tungsten filament, the hot wire inside the lamp. Halogen filament lamps are less efficient than fluorescent, so for the same lighting level it is always more cost effective to use fluorescent lamps. Although less efficient, Halogen lamps are often used in applications where a crisp, warm, white light is desired such as retail shops.
