A landlord must provide the WNYHA with at least a 60 calendar day notice of any proposed rent increase. Upon approval of the WNYHA of rent increase, the WNYHA will provide written notice to the landlord and tenant of the new rent amount along with the effective date. The WNYHA shall have the right to review any rent increase during the term of the lease to determine whether the rent increase is reasonable. If the increase is not reasonable, the WNYHA will disapprove such increase. (Changes in the rent shall be determined by the provisions of the lease. However, the landlord may not raise the rent during the initial term of the lease.
