How does a mixed marriage affect the ceremony?
A mixed marriage can take place within a Nuptial Mass only if the non-Catholic person has been baptized in a Christian Church. To the extent that Eucharistic sharing is not permitted to the non-Catholic guests by the general discipline of the Church, this is to be considered when plans are being made to have a mixed marriage at Mass or not. Your non Catholic friends and relatives can take part in the ceremony by reading, praying, singing or participating in the offertory procession.
