ACORN has several modes. The primary mode is a radiative transfer based atmospheric correction. This mode uses radiative transfer calculations by ImSpec licensed MODTRAN4 to derive and estimate the atmospheric properties for the remote sensing data set. These atmospheric properties are then used in an inversion from radiance to apparent surface reflectance.
