How does AVR work?
AVR on GMC generators works by making fine adjustments to the input voltage of the rotor (the part that generates the electricity). A regulated low voltage in at the rotor produces a increased voltage of 240v out. This output is constantly monitored electronically and any increases in output voltage will automatically decrease the input voltage and visa versa to maintain a very stable and constant output voltage at the mains outlet socket.
