Barometric pressure is a pressure that does not take into account the effects of altitude, only those of the current weather system. It’s as if it were atmospheric pressure at sea level. When you power up your weather station it displays atmospheric pressure. Enter the correct local barometric pressure which you can get from a local source such as a television station, airport, or radio station. It does not matter what elevation the source is at. However, the source needs to be located near you so they’ll have the same weather conditions. Once you set the pressure you should not change the elevation of the display console.
