How does Buddhist enlightenment compare with Christian salvation?
The aim of Buddhist enlightenment is to transcend time so that we can return to time with the enlightenment we obtained beyond time. The aim of Christian salvation is to find the meaning of time in time itself, in the history of Gods relationship with Israel culminating in Jesus as the New Israel. Please see Positive Negatives, Chapter 3, the section called Enlightenment and Salvation as a Duality.
