Caring Adoptions speaks to birth mothers several times, and requires the birth mother to meet with a qualified adoption counselor prior to accepting her as a client. We screen all birth mothers carefully prior to presenting them to adoptive couples. You will have all the basic information of both birth parents before you ever speak to a birth mother. Although birth mothers are prescreened prior to your initial contact with them, we advise our clients to keep their emotions in check after that first call until the following steps have been taken to substantiate the information. 1. Your adoption attorney should make a legal assessment as soon as possible to advise you of any potential risks. 2. We obtain proof of pregnancy, release on all medical records, and pictures from the birth parents. 3.
