How does CTF scoring work?
Team scoring is calculated dynamically in Console Parser. This makes it possible for players to be moved around teams and it will affect everyone else’s scoring. This seemed like a good idea at the time of designing q2cp, however it has come to light that it may not be so good (for open servers, etc.). Since a player can only be assigned to one team, q2cp is only suiteable for log files where a player is always on the same team. This scoring method will probably be changed in a later version. As of v1.21, CTF team selection is automatic — this works by picking lines out of the log file such as “Chris joined the RED team.”. The changing of teams is not currently supported for the reasons stated above. Also, the last occourance of such a line is the one that is taken. So if you join the RED team, then the BLUE team then you will be assigned to the BLUE team.
