This medicine contains the active ingredient betamethasone dipropionate, which is a type of medicine called a corticosteroid. Corticosteroids are medicines used for reducing inflammation. These substances cause blood vessels to widen, resulting in the irritated area becoming red, swollen, itchy and painful.
