How does Discoverer fit in the integrated business intelligence solution offered by Oracle Application Server?
Discoverer is an integral element of a comprehensive business intelligence solution provided by Oracle Application Server. Data – transactional data in a database, Oracle Applications data, legacy data, data in a data warehouse modeled using Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) – can be used to create business areas with Discoverer. Reports created against these business areas can then be used to perform ad-hoc querying, drilling, slicing and dicing, and analysis. The results of this analysis can be shared with other users.
