How does Eastern White Cedar compare to Teak and Mahogany?
We think White Cedar is better and here’s why: It grows abundantly and rapidly here in the United States and Canada, taking just 15 years for commercial use. Teak and Mahogany are more rare, grow in countries that may not observe worker and environmental laws, and are replanted to renew in more than a century. White Cedar weathers to a silvery grey the same as teak and mahogany, doesn’t require oiling or maintenance, and is naturally weather- and rot- resistant. Read more about our cedar here.
