How does evolution theory explain the lack of transitional fossil record in the earth layers?

There are many, many transitional fossils. I can hardly believe anyone can claim otherwise. Whenever a zoologist shows a new transitional fossil, the creationists always demand more. Fossilization is a rare event, so we don’t have fossils of every creature that ever lived. Even if we did, creationists would deny it proves evolution, beacuse they don’t want to believe it. Emotions are unreliable in such matters when objective thinking is needed.

There is no such lack. Every fossil represents either a line that died out or a transitional species. The same will apply to any fossils left by our human contemporaries – assuming we don’t go extinct. This lack is just another straw man raised by lying creationist propagandists to befuddle the ignorant.
