How does Halo compare to iridium plugs?

0

Iridium is a step up from platinum, in that it is a tougher, better wearing metal. They really have increased longevity. The Halo’s ground electrode is made of 95% nickel alloy that is the same as the sidewire on other spark plugs (the iridium and platinum plugs included). Since the Halo fires off of a different point each time, there is no need for an exotic, more expensive and less conductive metal (such as platinum) to improve the life of the plug. We do it by eliminating point firing, which is responsible for the gap degradation. These metals are necessary to reduce wear when you fire from one point all the time. Not a problem for the Halo Plug. Our design ensures a long performance life.
