How does HEALTHeSTATE interface with other clinical systems?
The HEALTHeSTATE HL7 Loader, housed on a separate HL7 Load Server, is a utility designed to load source data from local ancillary information systems into the HEALTHeSTATE database. The HL7 Loader supports two basic modes of receipt of HL7 data. These data receipt modes include: Network-based connections as defined by HL7 Minimum Lower Layer Protocol (MLLP), and file-based data receipt. The data receipt mode that is employed determines the specific sustainment tasks. The data receipt mode for a given installation will be determined in the pre-implementation stage. Additional system interfaces may also be customized. The HEALTHeSTATE software tools can be used alone or in combination with other software for: • documenting • reporting • managing • profiling • communicating • prescribing • planning • reviewing • integrating • distributing healthcare delivery and information through electronic means. *Data transfer to and from billing packages is a future support function of HEALTHeSTATE.
