It is this lack of insulin that causes Type 1 Diabetes. To elaborate a bit, the thirst is because the high content in your sugar causes thirst to help dilute the sugar in your blood stream. The urination is because all the sugar cannot be used by insulin and are therefore deposited from the body via urination. There is so much sugar that this must happen very often (several times an hour even). The excess sugar in your blood also goes to your eyes, causing the cornea to expand and giving you blurred vision, I didn’t even need my glasses the week after I was diagnosed =D Fatigue is because your sugar cannot be used for energy, so you become lethargic.
