How does INFFER handle uncertainty?
In Sections 1, 2 and 3 of the Project Assessment Form, we ask users to rate the quality of information provided, and capture key information gaps that may require additional research or data collection. The project assessment report provides estimates of probability of project failure due to several factors (practice change, lack of cooperation from other essential institutions, socio-political factors constraints, technical feasibility, and long-term funding). These factors or included within the calculation of the Benefit: Cost Index. We recommend that large projects include a phase of detailed feasibility assessment (both technical and socio-economic feasibility) as their first phase.
