How does laser eyewear work?
Sperian uses two types of lenses to properly attenuate laser exposures. Absorbtive technology literally absorbs the wavelength of the laser radiation while allowing the non-laser wavelengths to pass through the lenses. Sperian has two different absorptive technology platforms, dyes infused into polymeric filters or mineral glass (LGT®) and Dielectric (CLT®) technology, which reflects laser radiation. Warning: Laser eyewear is only design to provide protection against the wavelengths listed on the lens. Using the eyewear for any other wavelength can cause serious injury including blindness.
