Astrology and Tarot depend absolutely upon numbers and Numerology. Astrology starts with the date of birth which involves measurement in numbers in relation to the planets, each of which also has its own number! With Tarot, we have a similar story. Look at any pack of Tarot cards. Each card of the major arcana carries a number from 0 to 22, and the four suits of the minor arcana are numbered 1 to 10, so any serious reading of the cards should take account of the numbers that go with them. There are different ways of relating numbers to Chakras but the overall movement between top and bottom is usually seen in a figure of ‘8’, symbolizing the human being as the great conduit for the movement of spirit into matter and back again.
