How does one become a Dj?

it takes quite a bit of time and a lot of money. I spent 3 years building my set-up which was still pretty basic compared to others I had seen. There are many different kins of DJ’s. I was a night club DJ. I had 2 Technic 1200’s ($400 each) an Pioneer DJM600 mixer ($1000), Sony headphones ($150), Shure white label cartridges ($100 each I think, its been a while) Then of course you have to by records before you can play anythihng … lol. If you would rather do CD’s instead of vinyl the CD tables are around $800 each i think. I always did vinyl so I’m not to sure about that. It takes a lot of practice to get your ears trained to match beats. Once you get into playing in a club on a much louder system every mistake is magnified 100 times so don’t rush into playing in public. If your just looking into doing it for a hobby it really is a lot of fun, but like I said it does take a lot of money to get it up and running … Good luck.
