Prescaler 1:1 is selected, external clock is enabled TCS=1, 32-bit operation is enabled T32=1, the operation of the timer1 module is enabled TON=1 in the control register T2CON (in 32-bit operation the control bits T3CON are ignored), interrupt bits of timer2/3 module are set (in the concatenated timer2/3 interrupts are controlled by the control bits of timer3 module), priority of interrupts T3IPC=1, interrupt request bit T3IF=0, and interrupt enable bit T3IE=1.
