With Ortho-K, you will wear special contact lenses while you sleep, and take them out in the morning with clear vision! The Ortho-K lenses gently reshape the surface of your eye overnight so that your eye is able to focus light without any other correction. This reshaping lasts for at least one day, and possibly for several days, depending on how your eyes react. While you will probably notice a huge improvement in your vision after just one night of wear, Ortho-K lenses may take up to two weeks to fully correct your vision. You may also see "haloes" during this initial time. As with all contact lenses, it is extremely important that you are careful to clean your hands and your lenses properly to avoid eye infections. Please call our office to schedule an appointment if you are interested in this popular new option in the world of vision correction! For more information, see: www.allaboutvision.
