How does parents fighting affect their children?
My parents fought constantly when I was growing up. Today, I am numb to the feelings of others. If I see a woman with a black eye from her husband, I think “She’s an idiot. Leave”. My mom would always scream and yell at my dad, then kick him out. When he wasn’t there, she would talk about him like a dog. I was raised to hate him, but every 2 years, he would come back for about 3 weeks or so. Personality? Um, I’m arrogant. Seriously, I don’t really think much about what I say to others. Not at all. But I’m also very clingy. I will do everything in my power to keep some people from getting hurt by me…including run them off. I have serious trust issues. My best friend doesn’t even know that much about me. Because my mother started all arguments about money, I want to major in Finance and understand why she was the way she was…obsessive but broke.
