How does Room to Read ensure that local language books are child-friendly and age appropriate?
Our staff collaborates with local authors, illustrators, writing organizations, and printers to publish new children’s books. Book content is sourced through sponsoring competitions or through workshops to train emerging writers. Our Book Development Committees, made up of local individuals with prior publishing and literacy expertise, assist with manuscript sourcing and production.
