The primary defense against a split-brain condition is SelfReliant’s support for both redundant network interfaces and redundant networks. Through cluster heartbeating, SelfReliant detects interface or network failure and quickly responds by failing over to the standby interface/network. SelfReliant’s Availability Manager also periodically verifies that there are no other managers in the cluster.
